“Ever wondered what life is like in a professional dance company? Ashley Roberts, host of NBC’s 1st Look heads to Chicago to hang out with the Trinity Irish Dance Company, and gets a crash course to step in time, hard-shoe style.” – via www.nbcnewyork.com

The first day of Colin Dunne’s residency was a mixture of deconstructing rhythm, becoming aware of our own movement and the movement of others, and stepping into the unknown. 12 Trinity Irish Dance Company members were introduced to a new style, consistently challenged to complete every action in a natural way while simultaneously staying in sync with one another. Digital delay microphones allowed us to hear the echoes of our own beats and dance to each other’s rhythms. We ended day one mesmerized by the endless rhythmic possibilities and intrigued by the immense potential of this collaboration.
